NIADA Art Dolls:
Continuing
the Tradition

In this book, the National Institute of American Doll Artists (NIADA), an organization committed to the highest artistic standards for its peer-elected members, celebrates the work of 31 artists who have been awarded membership since the 2009 publication of NIADA Art Dolls: Rich Traditions, New Ideas, which showcased all members elected after NIADA’s founding in 1963.

Herein is artwork by contemporary world-class artists who have chosen handmade dolls as their medium of expression. A stunning array of more than 125 pieces illustrates the fact that doll art continues to evolve in inventiveness, sensitivity, and skill. The extraordinary, inspiring work of NIADA artists continues to be a dynamic testimony to the doll as art.
