Stephanie Blythe
Green Tea Party
2010, 7" x 10" x 5" high
Materials: China painted porcelain,
Tibetan Lamb hair, manzanita burl and branch table & chairs,
olive wood base. cicada wings and botanicals (poppy
pods, acorns, lichens, etc) This piece was inspired
by the hours I spent as a child creating tiny worlds
from whatever I found in the woods. I had two imaginary
friends, Honalona & Bumblebum for whom I would
create tea cups and saucers and plates of glorious
food.
