I am a lifelong mixed-media artist, working in polymer and paperclays, resin, wood, textiles, fiber, metal and natural materials, and also dabble in 3D printing. I focus on creating figurative work in two-dimensional, relief and three-dimensional formats. I most like giving an old story a new twist, or creating my own imaginary characters with a touch of humor. It’s all about the idea, which often percolates for months or years before an artwork is finally expressed. I have a further passion for fiber arts, including spinning, felting, quilting, knitting and crochet.

I attended college as a fine arts major and work full time as an artist/designer/teacher. My work has been shown in numerous publications; most recently it appeared in 500 Figures in Clay, published by Lark Books. I currently teach classes and seminars in sculpture, dollmaking and mixed media around the country and on line. My upcoming online classes can be found on the ‘A’ for Artistic web site.
