I was born in Moscow. In 1986 I graduated from a technical institute as a construction engineer. In 1990 I received a second degree in higher education as an artist and animator and from 1990 to 1996 I worked as a cartoon animator. During that time I took a master class in dollmaking with Tatiana Baeva and since 1997 I have been a professional doll artist. I have been a member of the Moscow Artists Union since 2000 and was elected a member of NIADA in 2001.

My dolls are inspired by heroes from films, literary characters and impressions from my travels as well as my friends and acquaintances. I also find inspiration in the works of artists like Degas, Bernini, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Turner, Vermeer and Klimt, to mention just a few! In the language of my dolls I try to reflect my impressions, attitudes and thoughts about everything that surrounds me. I work primarily in paperclay and make only one-of-a-kind dolls.

I have participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia, the USA, Germany and Japan, and have won many professional doll artist competitions in Russia, the USA and Japan. My work can be found in private collections throughout the world.
