Joey is a black baby jointed doll. Dressed in a yellow printed play suit or romper. He is jointed in the neck , elbows, and knees. In 1972 (or 1971) I made two small black children, Lena and Leroy. They were part of the group of dolls presented to the NIada Standards Committee in Omaha, Neb. 72 convention. Then I made the mother and father, Joy and Paul, about 1975. These dolls were all an edition of 25 dolls. Made Joey in the late 1970s in an edition of 50 which sold out. In 1995 I made a second edition of Joey and made about 20 dolls. I still have about 7 or 8 of him. This second edition Joey sold for $250.
