Jenny, designed by NIADA artist Heather
Maciak, is an 8” porcelain doll with painted eyes and a mohair
wig. She is costumed as her favourite character, Alice in Wonderland,
and wears a blue cotton puffed-sleeve dress under an exquisite
batiste pinafore embellished with entre-deux and embroidered cotton
lace.
Her long blonde tresses are caught up in a black silk hair ribbon,
with red & white striped stockings and black Maryjane shoes
completing her ensemble.
In this special, one-of-a-kind edition, she comes tied into an
elegant leather steamer trunk, filled with an extensive wardrobe,
and she can’t wait for you to help her try on her wonderful
costumes!
Included are her Ship Ahoy set from 2007 and her Elfin & Cozy
jumpers with stripey t-shirts and tights from 2008, along with
a Schoolgirl outfit and a ruffled sunsuit and bonnet set. A collection
of shoes, hats and stockings complement the costumes, which were
created in collaboration with Rosemarie Ionker of Boneka.
The price
of this set is $575, with all proceeds going to the NIADA Book
Fund.
